ArtScanner

ArtScanner

ArtScanner allows you to upload images to a Web site and have them displayed in real-world exhibition spaces and galleries.

When you upload an image or video to ArtScanner you will be given a barcode in return. This can be printed and placed near an ArtScanner 'pod' in an exhibition space. When visitors to the pod scan your barcode with the barcode reader they will see your image or video.

ArtScanner is now part of the Stench website. All you need to do to generate a barcode is register, create a profile and then add your Flickr pictures to the Stench Gallery or YouTube video to Stench TV. You can then print your barcode and place it near an ArtScanner pod. Pods will be installed at all future Stench events, and we are looking to permanent location for them around Leicester.

Exhibition | ArtScanner at The Broadway in Nottingham

My ArtScanner installation is now running at The Broadway in Nottingham. It will be in the main foyer area for at least two weeks to coincide with the Radiator festival.

Go to www.artscanner.org and upload your images in exchange for barcodes. Put them near the scanner and let visitors view them. Remember, ArtScanner is a creative *infrastructure* - you can be creative with it.
