Grace Petrie

Returning to Summer Sundae, Grace Petrie is a young trobadour and protest singer from our very own city of Leicester. She writes passionate, politically aware songs on an acoustic guitar and has a full blooded voice that would give both Billy Bragg and Frank Turner a run for their money. In fact when folk legend (and Grace's personal hero) Bragg heard her music he invited her to play at Glastonbury 2010 on the Leftfield stage, she went down a storm and, in Bragg's own words, "stole the f@!#ing show, sister!" 2011 saw Grace tour with the likes of Emmy the Great. Her latest 'diy' cd Mark My Words sold out in 48 hours.
